This is an exciting opportunity for a research assistant to support the delivery and coordination of the SHINE study, a multi‑modal research programme investigating the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease through behavioural, electrophysiological and neuroimaging approaches, including EEG, MEG and MRI. The post is funded until 30 June 2027 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
Role responsibilities:
- Support coordination and delivery of participant‑based research activities within the SHINE study
- Assist with participant screening, scheduling, preparation and implementation of study procedures
- Organise research documentation and records
- Conduct behavioural, cognitive, electrophysiological and neuroimaging assessments with healthy participants and individuals with cognitive impairment
- Ensure all research activities are carried out in accordance with established protocols, Good Clinical Practice and ethical requirements
- Contribute to selection and adaptation of research methodologies
- Manage day‑to‑day research and administrative activities within the study
Qualifications:
- First degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related scientific discipline, together with relevant research experience
- Experience working in participant‑based research settings with sufficient specialist knowledge for cognitive neuroscience programmes
- Experience with older adults, including those with cognitive impairment
- Desirable experience in collecting behavioural, EEG, MRI or MEG data
