Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a new challenge? We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Advisor to join our friendly and hard‑working HR Team at the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM), University of Oxford. The NDM HR Centres of Excellence provides comprehensive HR support to the Old Road Campus Units, Centres, Institutes, and international programmes (Africa and Asia Programmes – AAPs). By consolidating professional HR staff into specialised centres, we ensure close collaboration with managers to advance our strategic goal of attracting, recruiting, and retaining top talent. Our key objectives include delivering an exceptional candidate experience, coaching hiring managers in modern recruitment practices, and enhancing service efficiency through streamlined, standardised processes.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the recruitment process, providing specialist support and advice to hiring managers.
- Ensure recruitment is compliant with employment legislation and University policies.
- Draft effective job descriptions and adverts.
- Assist with the arranging of interviews and advising on work permits.
- Process Certificate of Sponsorship for candidates where appropriate.
- Produce high quality documentation, such as offer letters and contracts.
- Deliver informative HR inductions to new employees on their first day.
Qualifications
- This role is suitable for a highly motivated individual, with CIPD Level 3 and Associate membership (or be studying towards, and have CIPD Student membership).
- Demonstrable experience in recruitment with up‑to‑date practical knowledge of employment law, specifically related to recruitment.
- A strong focus on customer service, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential for success in this role.

Employment Terms
This position is offered full time on a permanent contract. £32,108 to £37,338 per annum (pro rata) Grade 5. This is inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,730 per year (pro rata).
