Postdoctoral Researcher in Pharmacometrics

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Pharmacometrics to conduct quantitative pharmacology research with the aim to improve and optimise current and newly developed treatments for malaria and other neglected tropical diseases.

The role involves developing mathematical and statistical models to describe the time course of drug concentrations and effects.

The role is part of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, which focuses on pharmacometric data analysis, pharmacology, and drug quality research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply mathematical and statistical models for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic analysis.
  • Conduct quantitative pharmacology research to inform treatment optimisation.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists, software engineers, data managers, and external collaborators across the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit and the wider Tropical Network Programme.
  • Work in an interdisciplinary environment, providing analysis and insights to support ongoing clinical and preclinical studies.
  • Engage in data interpretation and model validation workshops.

Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmacometrics, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics modelling, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency with modelling software (e. g., NONMEM, Monolix, or equivalent) and programming languages (R, Python).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ph. D. in pharmacology, biostatistics, pharmacometrics, or a related field preferred.

Wet lab work will not be involved in this role.
