Overview

Oxford Department of International Development (ODID), Queen Elizabeth House, 3 Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TB, is seeking a Mentoring and Student Success Manager to work within the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH). The role provides strategic leadership, coordination and quality assurance across RLRH’s academic support and mentoring functions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead, coordinate, and ensure quality across RLRH’s academic support and mentoring functions.
  • Recruit, train, support and engage mentors to create an enabling environment for learners to receive bespoke, high-quality academic guidance, counselling and application-building support.
  • Guide learners to make informed academic choices, meet key deadlines and progress successfully through application and funding processes.
  • Ensure mentoring relationships are purposeful, well-managed and impactful.
  • Collect, manage and report data to funders.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in programme or mentorship management in an (I)NGO and/or higher education setting.
  • Excellent leadership experience and ability to manage timelines.
  • Strong relationship‑management, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire volunteer mentors and engage senior professionals.
  • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
