The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will act as a financial business partner, working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including academics, external funding bodies, and other university staff. You will support principal investigators and project managers in effectively managing their funding, ensuring compliance with university and departmental policies, as well as adherence to the terms and conditions of funders.

You will oversee and coordinate all grant audits within the department (around 25 per year), ensuring that all deadlines are met and compliance is demonstrated.

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional with a degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience, and either fully or part-qualified with a CCAB (ACCA or CIMA) accountancy body. You will bring substantial experience in financial management within a complex and fast-paced environment, along with strong financial analysis and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and negotiate effectively with external stakeholders are essential for upholding departmental interests and meeting key deliverables. Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel, are required. Knowledge of UK research grant award systems and a working knowledge of Oracle Financials would be advantageous.
