The University of Oxford is seeking a strategic and collaborative financial leader to join our Estates Services team. As Divisional Financial Controller (DFC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial governance, management and planning of a large and diverse estate – supporting a world-class academic environment.
As Divisional Financial Controller, you will:
- Lead the financial strategy, governance, and planning for Estates Services, establishing finance as a key, critical function across the division and its operations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including the Director of Estates Services and University committees, which also acting as the key liaison between Estates Services and the central University Finance Division.
- Drive a culture of financial sustainability and risk management across a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Implement robust changes to fully integrate the finance function into the divisional hierarchy following completion of a divisional annual review.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital project accounting for an estate undertaking significant major capital projects, ongoing minor works, and continued maintenance works.
- Lead a stable, divisional finance resource comprised of three teams encompassing capital projects, management accounts, and transactions.
