About the Role

This is an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the University's Fraud Risk Management Framework, helping to embed a consistent, proportionate and risk-based approach to fraud prevention and detection across a large, complex and devolved organisation.

Working within the Financial Assurance and Compliance team, you will:

  • Coordinate and support fraud risk assessments across University departments, divisions and key business processes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of fraud‑related due diligence arrangements, including third‑party and associated‑person risks.
  • Analyse financial data, fraud risks and control weaknesses to identify emerging trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to strengthen fraud prevention controls, awareness and risk management practices.
  • Support delivery of the University's counter‑fraud improvement programme and associated Internal Audit recommendations.

About You

You will bring practical experience in fraud prevention, fraud risk assessment, due diligence, assurance or compliance, together with strong analytical skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels. A recognised counter‑fraud qualification, such as CFE or ACFS (or equivalent), is required.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the development of a sustainable counter‑fraud service within one of the world’s leading universities.
