This is a full-time appointment on a fixed-term contract for two years, based at OCDEM, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE. This post is also available as a secondment opportunity (with line manager approval).

The successful candidate will have strong experience in estates and facilities related roles, and is likely to be an established building, facilities or project manager. You will have the skills and knowledge to deal with a diverse portfolio of responsibilities and be able to prioritise workload accordingly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships at all levels will be essential.

The Radcliffe Department of Medicine wishes to appoint an individual to provide excellent building and facilities management for the Oxford Centre of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (OCDEM) Building on the Churchill Campus. This is a multidisciplinary medical research and NHS facility for over 100 staff, which is home to world-leading research activities and related NHS activities and services.

The building comprises containment level two laboratories with specialist biomedical facilities, lecture rooms, consultation rooms, IT infrastructure and support spaces with the complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure required. The OCDEM building was, and remains, a joint venture between Oxford University (OU) and the Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust (OUHFT).

This varied and challenging role will be critical in supporting University researchers to deliver their cutting-edge research, working closely with colleagues in the NHS and University Estates to support the safe, effective and efficient operation of the building.
