Are you a graduate who takes pride in creating and maintaining exceptional spaces? Join our dynamic Estates Services team as a Graduate Electrical Services Engineer at the University of Oxford. The Graduate Electrical Engineer will join a busy team of maintenance and engineering professionals who manage and maintain the University\’s electrical building services systems. This ranges from installations in important listed buildings, through to complex systems supporting world class scientific research spaces. The University has challenging sustainability targets for the management of carbon reduction systems.

  • Engineering Council accredited degree in a relevant subject, or European equivalent (FEANI), or International equivalent (as agreed under the Sydney Accord or Washington Accord) or equivalent experience within a professional working environment.
  • Understanding of the principles of the design of building services and operational requirements of all types of relevant building services installations.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information as appropriate to a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical stakeholders), using a variety of methods.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to solving engineering problems.
  • Ability to produce high quality, clear and concise technical reports.
  • Understanding of customer service focus and commitment to the Estates Services ethos of Customer Service Excellence.
  • Demonstrable understanding of a range of software packages, including the Microsoft Office suite of programs, database computer programs, Autodesk or other CAD software.
