Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and proactive team. The FM Operations team provides front-of-house receptionist services to several buildings across the University estate managed by Estates Services. The Facilities Support Receptionist plays a key role within the local FM team, which consists of seven FM staff members. The Manor Road Building houses several prominent University departments, and the successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming and supporting students, staff, contractors and visitors upon arrival. The Manor Road Building reception desk operates from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, although slight variations may occur, which the post holder is expected to cover. A flexible approach to working hours is required, and the post holder may occasionally be asked to work additional hours or adjust shift patterns. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and support students, staff, contractors and visitors upon arrival at the Manor Road Building.
  • Provide front-of-house receptionist services as part of the FM Operations team.
  • Assist with general reception duties during operating hours and cover additional shifts as needed.

  • Experience in clerical or administrative roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage.
  • Flexible with working hours, including covering additional shifts as needed.
