We are seeking an experienced Educational Policy Advisor to lead the strategic development of educational policy and regulatory engagement across the Nuffield Department of Medicine. This important role is critical in helping gem to realise the Department’s ambitious education strategy whilst maintaining compliance with Divisional, University, and national frameworks.
With extensive experience in educational policy within the higher education sector, you will lead the development and implementation of departmental policy in alignment with strategic priorities by acting as an advisor to the senior leadership team on national and international policy developments in higher education. You will drive policy innovation to enhance academic quality, student outcomes and departmental reputation. In doing so, you will ensure departmental readiness for external reviews, audits, and inspections, lead horizon scanning and policy analysis to anticipate sector trends and risks.
It is essential that you currently hold a relevant degree in education or public policy and administration (or similar), alongside a deep understanding of the U.K regulatory landscape and global higher education trends, with a proven ability to design policy at local and/or institutional level. With exceptional analytical and communication skills, you will have a strategic thinking and proven experience in advising academic and professional services staff of all levels.
