The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Fixed-term contract for 12 months, full time (36.5 hours per week). The audio visual technician is an integral part of the AV/IT Department, contributing to the delivery and development of the School's AV service portfolio. The position involves two main aspects: providing outstanding AV customer service and ensuring the installation, service and maintenance of in-house AV systems. This is an onsite role with AV/IT working hours Monday to Friday, 07:30–19:30, with a rota pattern including early and late shifts. Some flexibility is required, with occasional weekends and out-of-hours work as overtime opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
- Facilitate technical AV requirements for the School and its clients.
- Support teaching, meetings and events on a daily basis.
- Manage the Department's Service Desk platform.
- Support the ongoing installation and maintenance project schedule.
- Participate in the School's Audio Visual Development Project Charter.
Hazard-specific / safety-critical duties: This role involves working at heights and regular manual handling. The successful candidate will undergo pre-employment health screening through our Occupational Health Service.
Qualifications and skills: You should possess a thorough understanding of audio visual technologies, encompassing projection, digital signage, public address, recording/editing (audio and video), collaboration and live broadcast. You must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, efficiently organising and prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines. Strong IT proficiency is essential, including expertise in both Mac and Windows operating systems (Windows 10 & Office365).
Location: Saïd Business School, Park End Street, Oxford and Egrove Park, Kennington.
