Role Overview
We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) as an Apprentice Business Administrator. AfOx is a cross‑divisional platform bringing together all aspects of the University of Oxford's collaborations with African institutions and researchers, and as the Apprentice Business Administrator, you will support the operational activities that underpin the delivery of the AfOx programmes.
Responsibilities
- Attend college and complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship during a 2‑year position, learning key skills needed to carry out the role effectively.
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Team across day‑to‑day activities.
- Support with the financial and logistical delivery of the AfOx programme, including managing and assisting with travel arrangements, expenses, financial administration and procurement processes.
- Support an exciting team within the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
Qualifications
- Education: GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Communication skills, basic numeracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Interest in Africa and the work on this project, and an interest in financial administration.
