We are seeking a full‑time experienced Clinical Trials Project Manager to join the team at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering within the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. The post is fixed term for 2 years.
About The Role
The Clinical Trials Project Manager will work as part of a team to manage research trials of complex interventions in Clinical Neurosciences, both in adults and children. They will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and running of multi‑centre clinical trials exploring investigational medical devices, including class 3 active implantable systems.
- Manage clinical trials from set‑up to close‑down, including PPIE engagement and development of clinical reporting forms.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice and UKCRC Clinical Trials Unit SOPs.
- Handle day‑to‑day trial operations, data cleaning and query resolution in collaboration with statistical and health economics teams.
- Facilitate trial committee meetings and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Support monitoring activities at recruiting centres; occasional travel to UK study sites may be required.
About You
- Degree in a biomedical or related field, or equivalent qualifications or proven experience in clinical research.
- Substantial experience overseeing clinical trials and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice and research governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with UK clinical research structures, regulatory requirements, and ethical systems.
- Strong ability to follow and create written procedures, establish compliant systems, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage time and prioritise tasks independently.
