The University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Senior Research Fellow in Power Electronics and Electric Drives within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver individual and collaborative research in Power Electronics and Electric Drives.
  • Contribute to research program direction and generate new knowledge through application and development of research outcomes.
  • Engage with research activities linked to the Faculty's platforms, such as the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Research Group.
  • Develop and secure support for research proposals and funding bids.
  • Manage research methodologies and approaches, and communicate findings through publications and conferences.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external contacts, nationally and internationally.
  • Manage research assets, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with university policies.
  • Participate in professional development and undertake other relevant tasks as required.

  • PhD in a relevant subject area.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Experience in managing research programs and resources.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
