Salary: £29,329 to £35,943 £35,359 to £41,973 per annum (including £5,947 shift allowance). Posts are offered at the minimum salary point with progression to the higher salary point achieved through an annual incremental pay rise.

Responsibilities
- Supervise security patrol officers, gatehouse security officers and control room staff; allocate resources to ensure University sites are covered at all times.
- Act as the Security representative at major incidents and take charge of Security Services in the absence of the Security Management Team.
- Submit reports and review, amend and monitor crime prevention and reduction measures.
- Ensure all control room, CCTV and out-of-hours procedures are kept up to date and adhered to.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Supervisory experience in a similar security-related or customer service role and environment.
- Ability to make independent decisions under pressure; proven leadership and motivational skills.
- Working knowledge of the technology used in security operations.
- Full, current driving licence is essential due to travel between university sites.

Working Arrangements
- Hours: full-time (36.25 per week) with rotational shifts (12-hour shifts over a 24-hour period).
- Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, comprising 2 days (7am–7pm) and 2 nights (7pm–7am), followed by 4 days off. Flexibility to work any shift is required. Job share arrangements may be considered.
