NCTU are seeking to recruit multiple Trial Administrators to work within our multidisciplinary team to support the successful delivery of high quality clinical trials.

About you:

You will be expected to work flexibly as part of a team to provide administrative support to the trials, the clinical trial managers and the Unit. You will work closely with the trial team, trial managers, senior trial manager, investigators, site staff and R&D departments to support the successful completion of studies.

Duties will include:

  • Printing and sending out materials to study sites and pharmacy
  • Maintenance of Trial Master Files and local site files
  • Planning travel arrangements and meetings
  • Data entry and raising data queries

Candidates must have a minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and mathematics (Grade A-C) or relevant vocational qualifications (e.g. NVQ 2/3 administration, City and Guilds) or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role. Candidates should have good organisational skills, a high level of IT skills, capable of working without close supervision, show ability to plan and prioritise work activities with good attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team as well as individually; and a good telephone manner. Knowledge of databases and experience of working within a busy healthcare or research environment is desirable.

There are 3 positions available for this post. The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year. Hours of work are full-time (37 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.

This role can be fully office-based or open to a hybrid working model with a blended approach of home and office working. Typically, you will work a minimum of 2-3 days (pro-rata) per week on campus.

NCTU is a rapidly growing UK Clinical Research Collaboration registered Clinical Trials Unit based in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Our mission is to conduct top quality, high impact multicentre clinical trials across a range of health areas which will improve health outcomes. We have a broad, expanding portfolio of trials. In addition, we conduct methodological work to improve the efficiency and quality of trial design, conduct, analysis and reporting. NCTU has close links with NHS Trusts, universities and industry partners.
