Are you interested in supporting our researchers with their open access and research data management activities? We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join a team which supports our research staff and students as they plan, undertake, publish, and share their research.

You will be part of a friendly and welcoming Library Research Support Team which delivers services across the research lifecycle. We promote best practice in open research, facilitate publication and re-use of research outputs, and support discovery, access to, and management of scholarly literature and research data. You will work closely with colleagues across UoN Libraries teams and in partnership with a variety of colleagues from across Professional Services.

You will have a good understanding of the information needs of researchers and experience of working with them to promote and support open access to their publications or data. You will answer enquiries from researchers on all these topics and contribute to our inclusive training and engagement programme, supported by colleagues as you build knowledge and expertise.

We know that having colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds is key to a supportive workplace and improved services. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those who are currently underrepresented in Libraries in the UK, such as racially minoritised people.

We offer this as a permanent position, working 36.25 hours per week. Your base will be the Hallward Library on our University Park campus, but you may work across our different campuses. We have in place a hybrid working arrangement where you will be expected to spend a minimum of two days a week on campus.

We are committed to providing a competitive employment package that supports your well-being and helps you to reach your full potential. You will have access to benefits, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and attractive pension scheme.

Our university is a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) employer. Increasing the diversity of our community is extremely important to us and we are committed to the aims of Disability Confident Scheme.

We welcome applications from UK, Europe and worldwide and aim to make your move to the UK as smooth as possible. Your application will be considered on an equal basis, subject to the relevant permission to work in the UK as set out by UK Visas & Immigration.
