Salary £25,073 to £28,108 per annum pro‑rate depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person with a collaborative approach to working to join the School of Pharmacy’s Placements Team. Key Responsibilities
- This role will take the lead in processing student travel claims via the NHSBSA Travel & Dual Accommodation Expenses (TDAE) scheme.
- You will be expected to become the Team’s expert at navigating the NHSBSA platform to ensure that claims are dealt with quickly and efficiently. This includes:
- Checking and authorising student placement travel claims, ensuring that these adhere to NHSBSA guidelines
- Resolving incorrect claims and queries from students
- Responding to queries and requests for information from NHSBSA
- Helping to develop guidance documents and online information to help students navigate the process
- Providing exceptional support to our students – including answering queries and supporting students before and during their placement
- Ensuring that the Placements Database is up‑to‑date and that all student/placement records and documentation are accurate
- Assisting with any financial administration associated with placements
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently to resolve issues and student/provider queries.
- Reliability, adaptability and the ability to maintain accuracy in your work, even when under pressure.
- Extensive IT knowledge, including MS Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams)
- A positive attitude to building and maintaining professional relationships with students, providers and colleagues in the School/wider University.
- Experience of working successfully as part of a team in a relevant role.
Working arrangements & benefits
We can offer a hybrid working arrangement with a blended approach of office and home working each week. As a University employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including access to fitness and health facilities, staff discount and travel schemes, along with 27 days’ holiday allowance (plus additional University closure days) and a highly attractive pension scheme. The post is offered on a fixed term basis until 28/02/2028. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours).
