Overview: The University of Nottingham provides an exceptional research-led education for 46,000 students. The Estates and Facilities Department supports the University infrastructure and employs approximately 1,250 people across UK sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of key HVAC and associated mechanical building engineering assets and systems to ensure availability for all University staff and students.
  • Make decisions on the design, provision and maintenance of these services to enable the University to meet its core functions of teaching and research.
  • Develop and manage the mechanical services asset register and provide technical input to building and campus asset management plans.

Qualifications:

  • HND/C qualification in Building Engineering Services; ideally Chartered Engineer and a member of CIBSE or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership qualities, excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Full current driving licence (required due to frequent travel between university sites).
