The Faculty of Engineering at The University of Nottingham is known for its world‑class research and inspirational teaching and offers exciting opportunities for our students to work closely with many high performing companies. These strong links with industrial partners can be seen in their involvement across our degree programmes. We also have a large number of students choosing to undertake an industrial placement as part of their degree and have “with industrial year” variants across all of our undergraduate programmes.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students with securing a suitable placement
- Identifying new placement opportunities with local, national and international companies
- Visiting students in their workplace to provide coaching and support
- Nurturing relationships with employers
- Travel for these visits, overnight stays and attendance at events as part of the role
- Working in conjunction with the wider Faculty Placements Team and the Faculty Careers Consultants
Qualifications and Requirements
- Substantial experience of working in or with private sector engineering companies
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven ability to independently manage a demanding workload
- Based in the Faculty of Engineering Coates Building, University Park campus
This is a full time, fixed term position available for 12 months. For informal enquiries, contact the Senior Education and Student Experience Manager for External Engagement.

Salary: £35,608 to £47,389 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
