The University of Nottingham invites UK applicants to undertake a 3-4 year, fully-funded Ph D studentship within the CE-CSE, funded by the UK government.

The project addresses ultra-high temperature ceramic materials for coatings, ablation and high-heat-flux testing.

The successful candidate will design and characterize UHT ceramics using SEM, XRD, EBSD, TEM and Raman spectroscopy, spend most time at the university, and contribute to academic or industry careers in the materials sector.
