Overview: Finance Assistant role on the Buyers Team supporting the University’s purchasing and finance functions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact in the Buyers Team.
- Convert requisitions into purchase orders for goods and services.
- Handle travel bookings and purchase order housekeeping activities.
- Provide finance‑related support and advice to staff and students via Teams and email.
- Maintain a customer‑service focus and a can‑do attitude.
Qualifications:
- Interest in finance; prior finance experience not essential.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with staff and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of budgeting and adherence to policy.
