Role Overview
Based at either University Park or Jubilee Campus this full‑time, permanent role carries out a wide range of external cleaning tasks, including picking up/collecting litter, emptying bins and sweeping paths and roads using a range of ride‑on or pedestrian‑controlled machinery. Candidates must have a full current driving licence, unless disability precludes this, as the role requires driving vehicles involved in grounds maintenance and transport between University sites. Hours of work are 36.25 per week, mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional weekends as required.
Responsibilities
This post is offered on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will attend monthly Estates and Facilities training courses, each scheduled on a set week, Monday to Friday mornings/afternoons. Further details will be provided at interview.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role and the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles and powered machinery.
- Must safely dispose of waste products in accordance with University guidelines and complete relevant documentation, including job tickets and log sheets.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (extremes of hot or cold) as required.
