We are seeking a Research Assistant to support the delivery of the Lived Experience Narratives in Dementia (LEND) Programme. The role will contribute to Work Packages 1–3, supporting inclusive, mixed methods research and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist with participant recruitment and data collection, including interviews, surveys and focus groups.
- Coordinate engagement activities with people living with dementia, carers and community partners.
- Support communication with diverse groups, ensuring engagement is accessible, inclusive and person‑centred.
- Organise and deliver programme events, advisory group meetings and dissemination activities.
- Ensure all activities meet high ethical standards and best practice in inclusive research.
You will have a degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology, mental health or social sciences) and experience supporting research or project delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including individuals with lived experience and community organisations.
- Well‑organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Experience of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is desirable, as is experience of working or volunteering in health, mental health, neurorehabilitation or community‑based settings.
- Interest in dementia, neuropsychology or mental health research is advantageous, alongside an understanding of ethical, inclusive and person‑centred approaches.
Your working hours will be 36.25 hours per week. This post is offered on a fixed term basis, with a possibility of extension to 31/08/2027.
