The predicted salary is between 25353 - 26379 £ per year.
Salary £25,353 to £26,379 per annum based on a 36.25‑hour contract / pro rata if applicable. Posts are initially offered at the minimum salary point £13.45 per hour, with progression to the higher salary point, £13.99 per hour through annual incremental pay rise.
Your role as a Cleaner:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people who have a keen eye for detail, take pride in their work and enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas. They will join our team of cleaners at the University Park West Team. Based at either Portland Building or Hallward Library, with potential to move between other buildings within the University Park Campus, main duties will include cleaning a wide range of areas and providing general and specialised cleaning within the buildings. Duties include general cleaning of library areas, retail outlets, toilets, communal areas, corridors, stairwells, etc. The role requires frequent lifting above 10 kg and moving a range of heavy items; lifting aids and full training will be provided. Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.
Positions Available:
- Weekend Post 1: 6 hours per week (2 days of 7 hrs, mainly Saturday and Sunday), 6 am - 9 am. Flexibility required. Permanent basis on rolling 52‑week contract with 15 % pay uplift for weekend hours.
- Weekend Post 2: 8 hours per week (2 days of 7 hrs, mainly Saturday and Sunday), 6 am - 10 am. Flexibility required. Permanent basis on rolling 52‑week contract with 15 % pay uplift for weekend hours.

Additional Information:
Successful candidates will attend induction training courses run each month, Monday to Friday, at University Park Campus. Interviews are informal and will take no longer than 20 minutes.
