Are you a visionary digital leader ready to shape the future of a world-class university?
We are seeking a Chief Digital and Information Officer to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of our digital, information and technology agenda.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the Digital Technology Services (DTS) function and drive a forward‑thinking digital strategy that empowers our academic mission, operational effectiveness, research excellence, student experience, and enterprise ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver a digital and information strategy that aligns with the University’s vision, advising senior leaders and representing the institution nationally and internationally on digital innovation and strategy
- Drive a culture of digital excellence by embedding emerging technologies, including AI, automation, immersive learning, and advanced analytics to enhance education, research and operations
- Oversee secure, resilient and high‑performing digital and IT services, ensuring cost‑effective delivery and seamless support for staff and students
- Advance the University’s data strategy to enable evidence‑based decision‑making, enhance institutional performance and promote innovative use of data and analytics
- Lead a diverse, high‑performing teams, fostering culture of collaboration and professional growth, championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across all areas of digital delivery
Qualifications
- Strategic leadership at institutional or sector level with the ability to translate digital and information opportunities into organisational value
- Senior leadership experience in IT, digital transformation, strategic planning, or data analytics within a large and complex organisation
- Experience of delivering enterprise‑wide transformation and technology‑enabled innovation
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- People leadership skills, with evidence of leading senior teams
