Are you passionate about shaping a university culture that champions student success and inclusive engagement? We are seeking a collaborative Business Operations Manager to lead and coordinate practice and culture development initiatives across the Academic Registrar’s Department. This role will support the delivery of cross-cutting priorities that enhance the student experience, with a particular focus on supporting the University’s compliance with the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act.

Working across departments, you will support policy development, assurance processes, and stakeholder engagement to embed consistent, student-focused practices aligned with sector expectations and institutional values. We’re looking for someone proactive, people-focused, and confident working across complex organisational structures. You’ll bring excellent communication and influencing skills, a strong understanding of student experience priorities, and the ability to lead thematic initiatives that span compliance and cultural development. Experience working in higher education or with sector frameworks - e.g. Office for Students (OfS), Advance HE - is desirable, but not essential. Most importantly, you’ll be motivated by making a meaningful impact on the student journey and shaping inclusive, values-led practices.

Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 21.75 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. This post is offered as a fixed term contract for a duration of 12 months.
