The School of Education and English (EDEN) is looking for ambitious, talented, and experienced academics with a passion for teaching and a developed research agenda to join its team of scholars in the field of comparative and international education. Candidates with research strength in digital learning technologies in higher education are particularly welcomed.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to supervision, teaching, and curriculum development for the MA International Higher Education postgraduate taught programmes, as well as teaching modules in the Doctor of Education (EdD) programme and providing supervision for EdD and PhD students. Moreover, successful candidates will play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications in the relevant areas of comparative and international education.
Responsibilities:- Supervision, teaching, and curriculum development for MA International Higher Education postgraduate taught programmes.
- Teaching modules in the Doctor of Education (EdD) programme.
- Supervision of EdD and PhD students.
- Lead collaborative research projects.
- Conduct ongoing original research and publications in comparative and international education.
- PhD degree in education or a related field.
- Experience teaching PGT (MA and EdD) modules related to international higher education.
- Experience supervising PhD, EdD, and Master students.
- Knowledge of international education and educational leadership, and experience teaching undergraduate students (highly desirable).
The position will be filled at the Associate Professor level based on prior experience and current academic rank.

Remuneration, Benefits, and Support:Salary range: RMB 635,038 – RMB 780,622 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). The successful candidate will be offered a fixed‑term contract for up to 5 years, which may be extended by mutual agreement. Benefits include accommodation allowance, insurances, schooling support, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, and paid annual leave.
