About the programme

The Trent Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is a partnership between the Universities of Nottingham and Lincoln and three local NHS Trusts. The programme admits 32–36 trainees per year and is approved by the Health & Care Professions Council and accredited by the British Psychological Society.

About the role

Senior Research Tutor – supports the implementation of the research strategy and the delivery of the research component of doctoral training. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and supervising doctoral research that aligns with your interests.
  • Leading and developing curriculum, and providing line management to programme staff.
  • Engaging across the DClinPsy programme to integrate research outputs.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Clinical Psychologist, registered with HCPC and eligible for Chartered Status with the BPS.
  • Substantial post‑qualification experience with a track record of high‑quality applied psychological research.
  • Passion for training others and a broad range of knowledge, skills and attributes to work effectively in a busy, diverse environment.

Employment details

Part‑time (14.5 hours per week) fixed‑term contract (18 months initially).
