Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop and lead an ambitious programme of individual and collaborative research in sustainability and governance, producing high-quality outputs for publication in leading international, peer-reviewed and top-tier journals, and disseminating findings through conferences and other appropriate channels;
- Generate external research income by developing innovative research proposals, building partnerships with academic, policy, industry and third-sector organisations, and securing competitive research funding at national and international levels;
- Design, develop and deliver high-quality teaching across sustainability and governance, including taking curriculum leadership, developing and updating modules and programmes, supervising and examining students, and ensuring an engaging and inclusive learning experience;
- Provide academic guidance, supervision and pastoral care to undergraduate, postgraduate and research students, supporting their academic progress, wellbeing, personal development and employability;
- Contribute to student recruitment and the wider development of the School, including supporting admissions and outreach activities, strengthening national and international networks, developing external partnerships, and enhancing opportunities for student placements, collaboration and institutional engagement.
About You:
- A PhD degree in relevant subject area;
- Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in relevant discipline to develop research and teaching activities;
- Evidence of publication record or clear potential;
- Experience and demonstrated success in delivering teaching within an agreed quality framework;
- Ability and passion to work in the multicultural environment of UNNC;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Your Remuneration, Benefits, And Support:
A successful candidate will be offered a five-year contract. Salary will be within the range of RMB 454,692 to RMB 598,744 per annum depending on qualifications and experience (salary progression beyond this is subject to performance) and you will have a range of benefits and entitlements, including accommodation allowance, insurances, schooling support, home flight, relocation & repatriation support, and paid annual leave.
