Responsibilities:

  • Take independent responsibility for the welfare of the animals in your care and contribute to the training of trainee and research staff as required.
  • Ensure effective liaison with and support of the research community, including advising on welfare requirements and the 3Rs (replacement, reduction, and refinement).

Qualifications:

  • Hold the Institute for Animal Technology Level 2 Diploma or have equivalent experience.
  • Have good communication and organisational skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a vocational and responsible approach to working with animals.

Position Details:

  • Full‑time fixed‑term (1 year) post to cover maternity leave.
  • Working hours: 36.25 hours per week.
  • Salary: £25,073 to £28,108 per annum pro‑rata (if applicable) depending on skills and experience.
