Your role as a Cleaner:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and take pride in their work and who enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas to join our team of cleaners at the University Park East Area.
Main duties will include: cleaning a wide range of areas/spaces and providing general and specialised cleaning within our buildings (offices, classrooms, carpeted areas, refuse disposal, toilets, bathrooms, changing and staff areas/rooms, corridors, stairwells etc) and providing excellent customer service at all times, working either independently or as a part of a team.
This position entails providing both planned and reactive cleaning service across the building and supporting the local cleaning team covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning, any urgent requests/inquiries assigned by the Line Manager.
Previous cleaning experience within similar environment and ability to work independently and as part of a team are desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Further details regarding the duties for the role can be found on the attached job role profile.

Post 1 - 15 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged mainly Monday to Friday between 6:00am and 9:00am on a 52-week of the year contract basis. Flexibility will be required.
Post 2- 21.25 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 to be arranged mainly Monday to Friday between 2:00pm and 6:15pm on a 52-week of the year contract basis. Flexibility will be required.
These are permanent positions offered on a rolling contract 52 weeks of the year basis, which includes working during out-of-term/student vacation periods.

The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to attend statutory training courses and any refresher training required by the department. There are planned training courses throughout the year and different options to attend either during a typical week, Monday to Friday or on a set weekend dates within the year.
