The School of Life Sciences invites applications from friendly, engaging, and enthusiastic individuals to join its dedicated Anatomy Technical Team. The successful candidate will become part of a small technical team within the Anatomy Suite, located at the Medical School (Queen\’s Medical Centre, Nottingham), and will collaborate closely with technical, academic, and administrative colleagues.
Role Overview
The post holder will provide high-quality, timely support for the Anatomy Suite facilities, operating with a degree of autonomy. They will take primary responsibility for preparing and overseeing practical anatomy classes, working in close collaboration with academic and technical staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling, movement, and care of human cadaveric specimens.
- Maintenance of teaching resources such as anatomical models and IT equipment.
- Supporting the daily operation and upkeep of the Anatomy Suite, including monitoring and maintaining cadaveric material (whole cadavers, prosections, museum specimens).
- Ensuring all activities comply with the Human Tissue Act (2004) and relevant health and safety regulations.
Applicants should have experience in a relevant role, demonstrating strong organizational abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in IT. An understanding of the Human Tissue Act and prior experience working in an Anatomy Suite or similar setting are desirable.

This position is offered on a permanent, part-time basis (27 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
