About the Job
Part time: 22.2 hours per week
Fixed term until 31 July 2026
Interview Date: 22 July 2025 and 23 July 2025
The post holder will be primarily supporting the success of students by developing the student community within the faculty, using social media and other available tools to achieve this. The post holder will promote and attend course and school level events and will be seen as a key point of contact between students and the wider University. You will be working directly with students, either individually or in groups, to demonstrate the University processes as well as greenlighting students to the relevant areas of expertise. The post holder will also work alongside Heads of Schools to improve engagement and assist other faculty staff with ensuring consistency of experience across all courses.
We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum, pro rata. In recognition of this, the starting salary for this post has been increased to pay this higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 3 salary before living wage.
About You
The post holder will have achieved an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last two years, so will have demonstrable knowledge of the support systems, processes and communities available to students. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, working on your own initiative and as part of a team.
You must be able to communicate effectively with students and staff and be pro-active and flexible in your approach to the post and hours.

- A University of Northampton undergraduate degree achieved in 2024 or 2025.
Faculty/Department
The Faculty of Business and Law has five schools covering subjects such as Accounting, Criminal Justice Studies, Economics, Marketing, Law, Business, Events and Human Resource Management with around 200 academic staff and over 5000 students. We offer a broad portfolio of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. We also maintain several successful academic partnerships in the UK and internationally through which several of our programmes are delivered.
