Join the University’s Remuneration Committee as an external member and help ensure that senior leadership remuneration and performance are governed in a robust, accountable, and transparent manner. You will collaborate with governors, committee members and university staff to support the Board’s decision‑making and provide a critical, independent perspective.
Responsibilities
- Work with the committee to agree on the remuneration arrangements for the Vice Chancellor and senior leadership.
- Review and challenge remuneration policies, ensuring they align with best practice and the University’s purpose of positive social impact.
- Analyse complex information and use it to inform the committee’s decisions.
- Support the committee in achieving consensus, facilitating constructive discussion and maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Report to the University’s Board of Governors, providing oversight of senior team remuneration and performance.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in human resources, employment law, remuneration, compensation and benefits or staff performance management.
- Strong collaborative skills, able to contribute constructively and help the committee reach informed agreement.
- Capability to analyse complex information and offer challenge where appropriate.
