An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the interdisciplinary courses that are within Education and Society. We are specifically looking for someone with an academic and practice background in Early Childhood and the Graduate Practitioner Competencies associated with this discipline. The post will involve contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and typically involve teaching face-to-face and online. Wider professional responsibilities will typically include working on Saturdays (generally for student recruitment), twilight teaching, engaging in partnership work with employers, research and enterprise development.
The post requires the ability to involve and liaise with key stakeholders related to early childhood. We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the University as well as from one person to another. The successful candidate will:
- Provide an outstanding and research-informed student learning experience

- Demonstrate thorough subject knowledge of early childhood education
- Integrate face-to-face and online teaching and learning
- Apply their relevant professional/industry experience to the student experience

Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree qualification or equivalent in relevant subject
- Relevant professional qualification
- Master's degree in relevant subject
Desirable:
- Professional Recognition (HEA) Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale
- Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
