Overview
As Events Assistant, you will assist with the planning and delivery of a variety of events ranging from open days and applicant days to applicant interview days and VIP receptions. The post will include tasks involved in event delivery such as delegate communications, event administration and marketing activity. You will work as part of a team and independently manage your own projects while supporting the Assistant Director for Events to develop and grow the events programme. The post holder may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings outside of office hours.
We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum. The starting salary for this post has been increased to align with this higher amount, which presently supersedes the actual first spinal point of Grade 4 salary before living wage.
While remote working is available for this post, the number of days per week will vary during each semester depending on the requirements of the post; this will be discussed in more detail at interview.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills, be highly organised and will have experience of building relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of delivering excellent customer service is essential and knowledge and experience of working within the Higher Education Sector will be advantageous.
Qualifications
Essential; Marketing/Events Degree or equivalent experience in a related role.
Desirable; CIM/CAM modules/qualifications.
