Qualifications

  • A master’s or doctorate degree in mathematics or a closely related field with a statistics background are required for this position.
  • The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Exemplary experience teaching introductory undergraduate mathematics is preferred, as well as experience working with nontraditional and first-generation students.
  • Evidence of teaching potential in biostatistics, bioinformatics, data analytics and the like would be highly valued.
  • The successful candidate works well with a diverse student population and in interdisciplinary teams.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
  • Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor-Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
