UMR seeks a qualified, non-tenure track instructor who has significant interest in supporting student learning in a high-contact model inside and outside of the classroom and lab. This role will work collaboratively and creatively with established faculty, including for team-teaching. This instructor can design and implement various chemistry topics, which includes general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry courses with undergraduate health sciences students.
This role will facilitate department-wide data collection efforts that coincide with course delivery duties, assist in preparing and teaching laboratory sessions, grade student submissions, and perform other duties as assigned. Duties include collaborative and independent lecture preparation, delivery of course content in an interactive classroom and lab, weekly hours in the Just ASK center, supervising undergrad teaching assistants, etc. This annually renewable position is teaching-focused (90% teaching, 10% service). This role is expected to work in-person in Rochester, Minnesota. This role is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position is contingent upon enrollment.
