The Brighton Center for Specialty Care is a University of Michigan Ambulatory Care facility dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. The brand new 2‑story facility is located at 7500 Challis Rd. Brighton, MI. Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship is necessary
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan or Eligible
- 1–3 years of multidisciplinary rehab experience, including experience with prosthetic gait training and at least two of the following diagnoses: Vestibular, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, or Parkinson’s Disease
This position requires Primary Source Verification.
How You’ll Grow
- You will evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic neurological and general rehab conditions
- You will utilize advanced technological equipment to improve patient outcomes and assist in achieving their health goals
- You will have the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge by working in a rich learning environment with experts in neurological and physical rehabilitation
- You will supervise PT Assistants
Work Schedule This full‑time position requires a day shift with two closing shifts per week. Modes of Work Positions eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department and reviewed annually. Work agreements are subject to change at any time.
Union Affiliation This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between U‑M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which governs wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre‑employment drug testing on candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer, in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
