The University of London is the UK's largest provider of international distance and online learning and the convenor of a federation of 17 London-based universities. The role is for a Remote Online Tutor with a specialist background in academic Project Supervision to support the online BSc Professional Accountancy programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactive support to students via the Virtual Learning Environment.
- Marking summative assessments and providing detailed feedback.
- Working closely with a Module Leader, Programme Director and Programme Manager.
Scope of work: The Online Tutor will support students on the Project Module (60 credits) which involves independent research and communication of findings.
Candidate profile:
- Motivated individual who enjoys working with students and driving their success.
- Experience in higher education and distance learning.
- Postgraduate level qualification in accounting or a related field.
- No visa sponsorship; applicants on a student visa will not be considered.
Compensation: £4,055 flat fee for a group of approximately 20 students on the Project module. Assessment marking paid separately, with £40 per coursework assignment for first marking of final submission.
