The Head of Property is a new role reporting into the Director of Residential and Commercial Services.

Purpose of the Role

  • Ensure that the University properly discharges its responsibilities as the freeholder of a number of strategic commercial and residential properties in Bloomsbury and elsewhere and as landlord to a number of University of London federation members and other tenants.
  • Maximise external earnings from the University’s estate, improving asset value and supporting commercial operations.
  • Provide strong leadership to the Asset and Space Management teams and Conferencing and Events teams, coaching and sharing knowledge, and championing collaborative working to deliver customer-focused services across the estate.

  • Asset Management and Commercial Operations
  • Engagement, communication and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial Management of the commercial property and conferencing budgets, maximising income opportunities
  • Provide professional knowledge and support to internal stakeholders
  • Leadership to the Property and Conference and Event teams

The University currently operates a Hybrid Working framework involving a mix of working remotely and in the office. Typically, most employees will be able to agree to work remotely for up to 60% of their working week, role dependent, however, will need to attend the office on specific days for training or team meetings etc.
