Professor Reecha Sofat’s group is seeking an experienced and motivated PDRA to work on research related to making and using medicines better utilising a data science approach. This includes using electronic health record data, genomic and multi-omic data to inform the better use of medicines, to ensure their safe and equitable use across society, drug discovery and repurposing opportunities. Techniques will include Target Trial Emulation and Mendelian randomisation, but also other methods. Whilst domain expertise in health or therapeutics is not essential it is desirable but can be acquired through the post and working within this team.
This post is full time and fixed term.
You should have a PhD degree in epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering, data science or other relevant areas.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
