Join our expanded Research Insights team as we continue to invest in increased analytical capability to strengthen our understanding of research performance, inform decision-making and support the achievement of strategic priorities.

As Research Insights Officer, you will focus on the development of new and existing suites of data dashboards (e.g. Tableau) and will help develop and provide tools to support analytical capability that will strengthen understanding of research performance, inform decision-making and support the achievement of strategic priorities.

You will have experience of:

  • Building productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and putting them at the heart of service delivery.
  • Building data models, handling complex institutional wide data sets, and structuring them for analytics and visualisation purposes.
  • Production of management dashboards and reports.

You will have exceptionally high IT skills including:

  • Data manipulation to support analysis and data dissemination.
  • Use of business intelligence tools for modelling and visualisation.

Additionally, you will possess excellent analytical and evaluation skills, the ability to think strategically and identify key factors and trends, and the ability to deliver projects and work with teams and networks from across different areas of the University, working proactively and collaboratively across organisational boundaries.

You will have a Degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience).
