The Department of History seeks an exceptional, highly organised Project Officer to provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and logistical support for the high-profile European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant project, 'Reparations as Pan-African Indigenous Repairs' (Re-PAIR), led by Professor Nicola Frith. Re-PAIR is a transnational, ethnographic study mapping community-led reparatory initiatives across West Africa, the Caribbean and Europe, working alongside partners like Boston University and UniMAC (Ghana), as well as international grassroots networks. Serving as the central administrative hub for a multi-national research team, you will coordinate complex meeting schedules, assist with international travel and procurement logistics and support the compilation of project documentation and financial audit records.

The post-holder will serve as the central administrative hub for this multi-national research team. Given the project’s deep embedding in decolonising and participatory action research frameworks, the ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal sensitivity, exceptional organisational capacity, and a commitment to working equitably with diverse international stakeholders and racially minoritised communities.

Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
