The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint an individual to a permanent academic post as Lecturer in Archives and Records Management who will make a leading contribution to the delivery and development of programmes at the Liverpool University Centre for Archive Studies (LUCAS).
Archives and Records Management at Liverpool is one of the oldest and most well-known programmes in the sector, delivering specialist postgraduate education professionally accredited by the Archives and Records Association. We place particular emphasis on the ethical, social and political significance of records and record-keeping, engaging critically with questions of access, representation, archival silences, contested histories and the legacies of unequal systems of power. Our location within the Department of History is unique in the UK, offering outstanding opportunities for the successful candidate to collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of historians working on historical injustice, including the Holocaust, gender, climate change, medical racism, slavery, and colonial and postcolonial violence.
Our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to enhancing a workforce as diverse as our community and particularly encourage applicants who are of minoritised genders and ethnic backgrounds, living with a disability, and/or are members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
