LECTURER IN VETERINARY CLINICAL PATHOLOGY (MATERNITY COVER) - GRADE 8
The Department of Veterinary Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical Pathology to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months, preferably starting in November 2025. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) based at the Leahurst Campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic clinical pathology services with emphasis on cytology to support the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, with additional submissions from the Equine and Farm Animal Hospitals, Chester Zoo, and private practices.
- Contribute to supervision and support of residents and visiting veterinarians.
- Participate in undergraduate teaching as appropriate and engage in research or scholarly activity where interests align.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in veterinary science that is registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- RCVS membership by the start date.
- Hold, or be eligible to sit, a recognised postgraduate pathology qualification (ACVP, ECVP, or RCPath).
- Experience in diagnostic pathology and a commitment to high standards of clinical service, education, and professional development.
