The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Lincoln seeks to appoint a Technician in the Animal Behaviour Clinic to support the delivery of the clinical service as well as support aspects of the MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour; for example practical teaching.

The post requires a candidate who has experience in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Accreditation as a CCAB, is desirable, alternatively the candidate must be willing to work towards this, with the support of the clinic team. Practical training experience and the ability to support clients with the implementation of behaviour modification protocols is required.

The candidate needs to have the ability to undertake administrative tasks, including working with a range of software packages relating to word processing, finance and website maintenance. Experience with day to day management of clinical bookings and material, as well as an appreciation for client confidentiality and appropriate data management is essential.

The successful applicant will work as part of a small and supportive clinical team comprising a European Specialist in Behavioural Medicine, Residents of the ECAWBM and a Non-Veterinary Behaviourist. They will also work alongside the wider School of Natural Sciences staff, especially the technical team associated with general animal care within the School.

Experience supporting students and colleagues in practical dog handling and training skills development is desirable.
