It’s an exciting time to join our dynamic and forward-looking institution. We are an innovative university where staff and students work collaboratively and create world-changing knowledge and research. This position is an integral part of the Campus Operations Team and the successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of facilities staff responsible for delivering a wide range of essential services, including security, cleaning, postal, porter, waste disposal and pest control.
As the University Security Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our campuses, overseeing all security processes, systems, and compliance requirements. You will require strong operational management skills and the ability to drive service excellence across multiple facilities functions. Responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of robust security strategies, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
- Management of contracts and service providers for multiple facilities services.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
- Monitoring budgets, optimising resources, and delivering cost-effective solutions.
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in facilities management practices.
We are seeking a Senior Facilities Security Manager who has extensive experience in security management, including operational processes, risk mitigation, and incident response. You will have proven leadership skills with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and strong knowledge of facilities management best practices and statutory compliance. You will also have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
